“G2E is where customers get the first look at what we have created for them”, Rick Meitzler, Novomatic

(Las Vegas, Exclusive SoloAzar).- Rick Meitzler, President and CEO at Novomatic Americas granted an interview with SoloAzar about their experience at the G2E 2022 edition in Las Vegas. He pointed out the great work they are doing since 2013 closely with their customers and the great result they built up: “a great deal of credibility about providing products that their players enjoy”.

Rick Meitzler, President and CEO at Novomatic highlighted their goals at this G2E Expo: “Our expectation of the show was to demonstrate to the US market that we truly are giving our customers what they are asking for in terms of our product offering and to show them where we bring tremendous value. We continue to leverage our winning product lines and expand that player experience. Our road map and expansion strategy in the US are key strategic plans, and our customers are true partners in crafting those goals.


What do you think the feedback for your new products exposed at G2E was like? 


Fantastic feedback. This was by far our most successful year at G2E. We are taking orders for our new 360’ signage with both Ultra Boost™ and Thunder Cash™ X and the Candelas De Los Muertos™ themes were a huge hit. VGT customers were excited with our variety of cabinet styles and knowing that the Diamond™ X is being launched with our newest and best multi-game software was very well received. Our NBS casino management system with Biometric verification and enhanced features was also a highlight. So, it was a year of new products, popular new themes and highly positive feedback.


What was your business or promotion strategy at G2E?


We focused on introducing our new Diamond™ X cabinets the 1.55 and 2.32 styles. We then paired the new hardware with our statement tower merchandising and best new themes like Candelas De Los Muertos™ Thunder Cash™ X link to share the final result of significant years of focus.


We’ve moved forward in Casino Management systems, new electronic table game offerings, more VGT options than ever before, and brand extensions that expand the award-winning Money Party™ link into high denomination offerings. We are offering the best value on the new hardware until January 1, 2023. People are taking advantage of that pricing.


How did you use this space to learn about your customer´s needs? 


We have a talented sales team that works with our customers to understand what matters to their players and what type of games they are requesting. Working with R&D in Austria we put together a strong roadmap of those products and G2E is where customers get the first look at what we have created for them. We take their feedback and listen to what changes, additions, and modifications they may or may not want. We go back and share that information internally and adjust the roadmap as needed. As one of our sales team likes to say, “Quarter Turns” is based on good customer input.


How is your firm positioned in the North American market?


o We continue to see strong demand for both our new and existing products. We continue to expand our focus on what players are asking for to drive market share with a solid growth strategy. We have great performing games, a strong product pipeline, new electronic table games offerings, casino management systems, and of course our #1 sports betting kiosk, Novomatic Action Book™. We continue to take orders across all of those segments. We will surprise quite a few people this year with the strength of our portfolio. We’re in  a positive growth mode, especially in the VGT markets like Nebraska, West Virginia, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, and Washington.
